RP question

I understand that i have to describe taking out a gun but why do we have to describe that i'm aiming at someone, cuz you can see that your player is taking up his gun and pointing... and the same thing with shooting... in real life you don't need to describe that you're gonna shoot at someone....

You need to do this so that the other person knows it and has time to react or do something about it. like you can't just start shooting and not give the other person time to react to it. That'd be PG and Non RP. the way they could dodge it is by letting them do a /me back to it or a /do and then depending on what the /me or /do is you'll do what you think would be the best thing to do.
